Autograph Session of the Road Gang, Children's Competitions, and Three Thousand Stars at Strahov
Experience a ride like the main pack in the L'Etape Czech Republic 2024! This is what the program will look like on June 14 and 15 in Prague at Strahov, the start and finish area of the largest amateur cycling race in the country. What can everyone expect, whether they are visitors, fans, or the racers themselves?
The L'Etape village will open its "gates" at 3 PM. To warm up, attendees can watch a report by Czech Television to recall the L'Etape Czech Republic 2023.
STARTING AND PARTNER PACKAGES, SIGNATURE WALL
A total of two thousand cyclists have had their starting numbers sent home via the Zásilkovna service. The remaining hundreds of participants must pick up their starting numbers in Prague at Strahov on Friday, June 14, by 8 PM.
Every participant will receive a partner package, including a bidon, a product from Cyklostar, a Dr. Witt beverage, and a gift from the main event partner, Škoda Auto.
While at Strahov, don't forget to sign the signature wall. Participating in the Riders Briefing can also be useful, where all registered for the L'Etape Czech Republic 2024 will receive crucial information about the route and the course of the race.
The accompanying program includes one "stage" focusing on two partner races of the L'Etape series. While many have personal experience with the Slovak race or plan to go to Bratislava, Ireland presents a greater challenge. Detailed information is always handy...
AUTOGRAPH SESSION WITH CONTADOR AND OTHER STARS
Tereza Huříková, ambassador of the L'Etape Czech Republic 2024 Mountain Stage scheduled for August 17 in Prachatice, will possibly reminisce about her junior world champion title in the time trial or winning the rainbow jersey as the best junior in cross-country mountain biking during a talk at 4:30 PM.
A talk with representatives of Decathlon, who sponsor the French team in the World Tour this season, will undoubtedly offer interesting insights. Cycling enthusiasts have noticed the significant improvement of the team. Is the Decathlon Van Rysel RCR bike behind the magical transformation?
The main star of Friday's program will be the two-time Tour de France winner (2007 and 2009), Spaniard Alberto Contador. At 6:35 PM, he will be ready on stage for a talk with fans, followed by an autograph session at 7 PM with the cycling ambassadors of the L'Etape Czech Republic 2024.
Fans will have access to Alberto Contador, Zdeněk Štybar, Ján Svorada, Tomáš Bábek, and Tereza Huříková, also known as the Road Gang of the L'Etape Czech Republic 2024!
At 8 PM, the village will close, only to reopen its gates twelve hours later. The main stars of Saturday will, of course, be all those who stand at the start line of the L'Etape Czech Republic 2024 during the day. Nearly three thousand stars will gather at Strahov!
SVORADA RIDES IN THE HEROES CATEGORY LEGEND
Participants should not miss the shortened Riders Briefings. Cyclists on the Long Route will start at 9:30 AM, the Medium Route at 10:30 AM, and the Short Route at 12 PM.
Ján Svorada, winner of three Tour de France stages, will tackle the 61 kilometers on a Specialized Allez Road bike in the Heroes category, designated for bikes manufactured before 1993. Don't miss the interview with the 55-year-old winner of 11 Grand Tour stages before he pedals off on the historical machine!
For visitors with small children, the Kubík Tour competition will be held throughout the day. Nine competition stations in the L'Etape village or nearby EXPO will test children's physical and knowledge skills. There will also be an opportunity to make a banner to support their hero.
Before the arrival of new L'Etape Czech Republic 2024 champions, a promotional caravan will arrive at Strahov, spreading joy along the route and delighting fans at the start and finish area.
Around 1 PM, the winner of the Long Route is expected to arrive at Strahov. From 3 PM, the series of awarding the Tour de France jerseys will begin, and the winners of the children's Kubík Tour competition will also take the stage.
The slowest racer in the L'Etape Czech Republic 2024 will be awarded in the Lanterne Rouge category. Before the L'Etape village closes, the draw for the Van Rysel RCR racing bike raffle will take place at 6:15 PM.
