INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO FILL OUT THE CHECK-IN FORM
With just over a month left until the start of L'Etape Czech Republic by Tour de France 2024, it's time for us - the participants - to inquire about more detailed information about participation in the race. For this purpose, each person who registers for the race by May 7th will receive a unique link to their email inbox, redirecting them to the CHECK-IN 2024 form. These links will be sent out from May 9th to May 10th. Participants who register from May 9th onwards already have the check-in form included in the registration itself.
NOTICE: If you want to be properly included in the start or want to have your name on the race number, or if you want to have the Starter Package sent to your address, you must complete the CHECK-IN form or race registration by Friday, May 24th, at 12:00!
STEP 1 - RECAP OF DATA AND INFORMATION FOR THE RACE
Review of data entered in registration
In the first part of this step, everyone can review the information they entered during registration and make corrections if necessary. We recommend paying attention to the correct address, especially for those of you who will choose to have the package delivered to a Zásilkovna collection point in the week before the race.
STEP 2 - SELECTION OF BASIC SERVICES
Sending/Picking up the Starter Package
The first question offers the option to choose how you would like to receive your Starter Package. Delivery is handled by the reliable ZÁSILKOVNA, which will deliver the package to your specified address in the week before the race (you can adjust this in the previous step). Delivery of the package incurs a fee of 150 CZK. We strongly recommend this option because the alternative is to pick up the package on Friday before the race. Pickup on Saturday will not be possible.
You might think from the above that we don't want you to show up on Strahov on Friday - but this statement couldn't be further from the truth! On Friday, we're planning a rich program of activities. Instead of waiting in line to collect your race number, come and enjoy the rich program we have prepared on Strahov and get ready for Saturday's race!
Selection of food for the pasta party
The second question concerns ordering food for the pasta party after the race. This year, the mega feast focusing on replenishing quality carbohydrates will once again take place in the Strahov canteen.
Expected average speed in the race
The next question asks about your expected average speed. For participants who haven't started in previous editions, this will be one of the parameters for proper placement at the start. Participants who have previously participated in the race will be ranked according to their previous results and the time they filled out the registration form.
Selection of special competitive categories
This year, we have defined two new competitive categories. Let's introduce them now:
The first category is open only for the Short race route and is called HEROES, with Ján Svorada as its ambassador. Enthusiasts of vintage bikes manufactured before 1989 can register for this category. The condition is using shift levers on the frame and stylish cycling clothing, supplemented with vintage or modern helmets.
The second category is called GRUPPETTO. Its goal is to enjoy the race, finish it, embrace the challenge, and last but not least, taste everything we offer at the refreshment stations. All in the great company of ambassador and pace maker Tomáš Bábek. The category is only available for the Medium route. Participants in this category will have their total time measured but will not be included in the overall race results. They must maintain an average speed of 22 km/h to finish the race and will receive a participation medal upon completion. Participants in this category are included in the Best Sprinter competition and can therefore win the green jersey.
Description of race strategy
The final question in this step asks about your race strategy. Will you be "fighting" for position or will you be more of a pleasure-seeker and ride "at ease"?
STEP 3 - SELECTION OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES
None of these paid services are mandatory, but each can elevate the experience of the event to a higher level.
Parking at Strahov (200 CZK for Saturday, 800 CZK for the weekend for campers and caravans)
The space at Prague's Strahov is limited, and if every participant arrives by car, it's a problem. That's why we introduced paid parking two years ago to encourage carpooling. Parking costs 200 CZK per car, but be careful - the number of spaces is limited to 800 vehicles, so we recommend not hesitating too much with filling out the form! We have space for 20 campers and caravans.
Fyzio Rehab Zone and SportHelp Membership
Our partner, SportHelp, provides perfect care in case of injury. From special injury insurance to a service for quickly booking an appointment with the appropriate specialist. This year, SportHelp will have its Fyzio Rehab Zone in the L'Etape village. You can order a massage from experienced physiotherapists or special short-term injury insurance and health care organization, or a combination of both, directly in the check-in form.
VIP Hospitality
If you want to provide yourself or your loved ones with proper comfort, there is an option in the form to add entry to the VIP zone for 3,000 CZK per person.
STEP 4 - OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE
In the final step, you have the opportunity to perfect your style with our designer pieces. Whether it's t-shirts, caps, or hoodies, or even awesome (and lightweight) water bottles.
STEP 5 - REGISTRATION FOR THE DRAW TO WIN A VAN RYSEL RCR BIKE
A unique opportunity for all race participants to win a fantastic VAN RYSEL RCR road bike worth over 100,000 CZK of your choice.
The rules are simple:

Enter the participant's unique customer number from the Decathlon loyalty program into the relevant column in the CHECK-IN form (you can set it up in 2 minutes at this link).
And then all you have to do is wait for the end of the Saturday program, when the drawing of race numbers will take place in the L'Etape village. Maybe luck will smile on you!
STEP 6 - COMPLETION, PAYMENT, AND UPDATE OF RACER'S CARD
If you haven't ordered anything during the entire check-in process, you won't need to make any payment, and you'll complete the check-in process right away. Otherwise, the system will prompt you to make payment through the payment gateway.
If you have downloaded the Racer's Card to your mobile, which we issued to you immediately after registration, the data entered in the check-in form will be automatically updated in it. If you haven't downloaded it yet, you can do so via the link or displayed QR code. It will come in handy.
